Producer & origin

A family-grown natural from Los Santos

Caragral is produced by the Jiménez family at EcoBeneficio Jiménez in Los Santos, Costa Rica. The Caturra grows at 1,600 m.a.s.l., where the high-altitude climate supports slow cherry development, sweetness and a lively but balanced structure.

The family has cultivated coffee for generations and continues to refine processing and drying while working with respect for the surrounding environment and biodiversity. In the cup, that care appears as ripe orange, sugar cane, caramel and a silky medium body.

The process

Whole-cherry drying for fruit and sweetness

For the natural process, ripe cherries are dried whole with the fruit surrounding the seed. Careful drying allows fruit character and sweetness to develop while the producer protects clarity and balance.

The result is expressive without becoming heavy: ripe citrus, caramelised sweetness and a clean, composed finish.
